Mea culpa: My post about Palin yesterday distorted what she said

Yesterday I wrote a post called “Palin adds a whole new definition of solipsism” based on two-sentence quote from her book Going Rogue. My interpretation yesterday, based solely on that two-sentence quote taken, was wrong. Therefore I am correcting myself here. I have also added notes of correction to the original post.

In writing this post, I made an error which distorted what Palin & her ghostwriter wrote in her book Going Rogue about Gov. Frank Murkowski’s appointment of someone to complete his U.S. Senate term. Rather than deleting the post, I added notes to explain my error. My apologies for the error.

The Business Insider says that Hong-Kong-based brokerage firm CLSA invited Sarah Palin as keynote speaker for an Asian investment conference as part of their standard effort to “sprinkle in some hilarity every now and then as a smart marketing gimmick.” Alaska bloggers’ analysis: Looks like Palin’s been punked.
