Anchorage PrideFest 2010

Anchorage PrideFest 2010

Before going to the Hands Across the Sand event yesterday, we were at the Pride march in downtown Anchorage.  And afterwards, we were at the Pride picnic on Delaney Park Strip.

One of the great things about this years parade was the participation of political leaders. I was pleased as all get-out to see my Assembly representative, Elvi Gray-Jackson, as this year’s parade marshal.

We were also joined by candidate for Alaska lieutenant governor Diane Benson —

And two candidates for governor, Ethan Berkowitz —

— and Hollis French —

Ptery marched with other transfolk of TransAlaska Pipeline:

But I took many more photos than that — too many to post individually. So see my slideshow! It’s long! but worth the celebration. Happy Pride!

Update 7/25/2010: I’m now all caught up: all the posts that went bye-bye from my blog’s recent home invasion & hacking have now been restored. Huzzah!
