Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Anchorage

The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Anchorage (GLCCA), a program of Identity, Inc., is a safe place for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans Alaskans and visitors to Alaska — along with their friends, allies, and family members — to meet, hang out, hold or attend group meetings, or use the resource library and computers.

A benefit is being held tonight in Anchorage to benefit the GLCCA.  Although raising funds to support GLCCA’s work, the benefit event isn’t being held at GLCCA — it’s being held at the A Street Event Hall at 637 A Street (formerly the Steinway Piano Gallery).  In fact, this will be the A Street Event Hall’s inaugural event!

  • Day/time: Friday, February 4, 2011, 7:30 to 10:30 PM
  • Location: A Street Event Hall, 637 A Street, Anchorage (see map)
  • Info: Identity’s fundraising focus this year is aimed at suicide prevention among gay, lesbian. and transgender youth living in bush Alaska, working together for support and networking. Performances will feature members of the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, members of the Anchorage Ballet, and Alice Welling (former Miss Alaska). Co-Hosted by Diedra Windsor Walker. FREE dinner buffet, no host bar. This will be a night to remember!
  • Cost of admission: $10.00.

Identity, Inc.Even if you’re unable to make it, please support GLCCA’s and Identity’s important work by donating to Identity.
