Keeping the T in LGBT

[See also my previous post on this topic, We are all, or none.] Well, now, short shrift has certainly been given to pollster Ivan Moore’s idea (posted on June 4 at 4:00 PM in comments on the web-posted version of his article in the Anchorage Press) that I think the religious right would live with the ordinance [...]

We are all, or none

Anchorage pollster Ivan Moore suggests the Anchorage Assembly remove "gender identity" and "gender expression" from coverage under the proposed equal rights ordinance -- in order to get the rigid right to agree. Sorry. I won't throw my trans sisters & brothers under the bus. And I'm not alone.

In counterpoint, this week’s sermon at 2:00 PM at MCC [...]

The noise begins

The Anchorage Daily News has a story by Megan Holland on the proposed equal rights ordinance: “Assembly to consider gay rights ordinance — Discrimination ban: Proposal would also cover veterans; Rev. Prevo plans fight” No big surprise that Jerry Prevo of the Anchorage Baptist Temple plans to battle the ordinance — Prevo was also a vocal [...]

Those Phelpists aren’t too clever, are they?

Why did Westboro Baptist Church, famous for their website "godhatesfags.com," picket Anchorage Baptist Temple — famous in Anchorage as the very center of antigay attitudes in Alaska?
