Frank Murkowski indulged his fatherly concern for Sarah, but when it came to appointing the best person for Senator, he resolutely put aside his feelings and allowed his beloved daughter to assume the burdens of office to which her duty and destiny called her. But, yes, this does take the cake. There are some people who think they were created as God's gift to the world, and then there are others who think the world was created as God's gift to them.
