And I'm particularly fond of your reading of it at Loussac, amid that narrow squall line of so many red shirts stumbling back and forth, devoid of free will and critical thinking, not having processed the issue for themselves. Of course, the fact that you composed this during a bus ride ticks me off a little...! I've slaved at poems for weeks and never found the right words. But hey, some of us have the poetic voice -- and you, my friend, are one of those people. This is gorgeous, sad, and moving. This is lovely, Mel.
