Memorial Day hike

Monday, 29 May: Memorial Day hike

We took a hike along the foot of the mountains on the south side of Turnagain Arm (Kenai Peninsula) — leisurely on the way out, lots quicker on the way back. Big event for me was crossing a creek that I thought might be a thigh-deep wade, but turned out to come up to my chest. Very cold! And I’d forgotten my cell phone was in my pocket, so I fritzed it out. But it was beautiful out there, we had a great time, & I except for the expense of replacing my phone, I have no complaints.

Day total: 16,878 steps (7,895 over baseline).
